We need our lives back.
Hello. My name if Francisco Carrales and I would like to thank you for clicking on the link. You have taken the first step in extending a helping hand.
Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I'm 32 years old, married to my high school sweetheart (31), and have a beautiful 12 year old daughter. We live in a small city called Mission, Texas and is part of the Rio Grande Valley. We go to church on Sundays at New Hope at the Border and feel blessed. Having lived in the RGV most of our lives, we decided to invest in our future. After renting since 2004, we believed we reached a point in our lives to start considering owning a home. We searched and searched for a few months but with no such luck. Our family friend heard we were seeking for a home to buy. She then told us she was looking to sell her current home because she wanted something bigger for her growing family. We got together one day for a tour of the house and fell absolutely in love with it. Within a week we applied for a home loan at two places, but we didn't meet certain requirements. After a while we were losing hope until we heard about a financing company that required less from us. It was like a second chance. So we went for it. We scraped up what we had in savings and even took out a loan to have enough for the down payment. We were super excited the closing date was the following month. The closing day arrived and we were waiting for the finance company to call us to meet with the lady that was in charge of the closing paperwork. Didn't get such call. We called and we were told the lady was out sick. We waited a couple of weeks. No calls from the finance company. We called them but no answer. Fearing the worst, we hired a lawyer. The lawyer learn our story and he said that we weren't the only ones. We were victims of mortgage fraud. Our hearts dropped to the floor. All our savings and the loan we took out apart from our debts we already owe plus attorney fees and court fees. Everything was piling up. We are stuck between a rock and a hard place. We have no money. We are drowning in interest fees from loan. The men responsible are federally charged with wire fraud.
Here's a link for the story about the scammers.
We don't know how long this case is going to take or if we will see the money again.
That's why I decided to create this site to reach out for help. We don't know what else to do. Our church helps us as much as they can. I believe there are kind-hearted people out there. We just have to keep the faith.
Any contribution is welcomed. No matter what amount you give, it still helps. Don't feel bad if you can only give $1. Believe me, it goes a long way. All I ask is that you make your own payments first. Family comes first. Do not sacrifice a bill for us. I would rather receive 100 $1 donations than one $100 donation. Just as long as you give with your heart God will give it back to you and then some.
Give, and it will be given to you. They will pour into your lap a good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over. For by your standard of measure it will be measured to you in return. -Luke 6:38
